DHCP-LDAP hostname

Description

Hi,

When initialising the network plugin, you automatically register a hostname as Primary DHCP server using the mmc-agent hostname. To use the LDAP backend, the DHCP server must be called with this hostname.

When several DHCP servers shares the same LDAP directory, this become a problem. Perhaps this hostname could be defined in network.ini file.

This also will help to improve (in future) network module to utilize a fail-over DHCP (I don't sure, but for DHCP+Ldap fail-over may be needed DHCP version 4.xx???)

Hi,

as a simple workaround, you can define the hostname of the primary server in the DHCP config file like this :

ldap-dhcp-server-cn "dhcpmaster";

With this configuration, the hostname could be whatever you want for the other servers.
