MDS 2.3.0 to MDS 2.3.1 upgrade notes

network.ini: new mandatory bindgroup option, obsolete binduser option

The binduser option can be removed from the network.ini file.

The new bindgroup option should be set to the group running the BIND service. On Mandriva CS4 or 2008, the group is called "named". On Debian-based system, the group is called "bind".

For example:

[dns]
...
bindgroup = named

userdefault section in samba.ini and mail.ini

The userdefault section allows to set default LDAP attributes when creating (or in some cases updating) a user.

This section which was previously called "userDefault" has been renamed to "userdefault".

You must rename this section in the samba.ini and mail.ini configuration files, else it won't be read.

Interface web expert mode problem

If you still can't switch the standard/expert mode, remove in your browser all the cookies of the website running the MMC web interface, and try again.
